The particle separator keeps your air filter clean for much longer than it would be without it. Failing to maintain an air filter in dusty conditions could lead to engine damage. Driving with a particle separator allows the air to be sucked into the separator, which uses centrifugal force to separate the dust and allow it to exit. The clean air moves through the tube to your air filter and then engine.

S&B particle separators for trucks are designed to work with stock systems. It replaces the entire intake system, which includes the box, tube and air filter. Install time is roughly two hours with no drilling necessary. It also provides quick access to the air filter, which will allow it to be changed in less than a minute without tools.
